Universal Screenings (Free Vision, Hearing, and Dental Screening) >

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Denver Public Schools provides free vision, hearing, and dental screening for students as required by the Colorado Department of Education. Screening can help us find early problems that may make learning harder for your child.

Parents/guardians of students will be notified if the results are outside the passing range.

If you want your child to receive the screening, you do not need to do anything.

If you DO NOT want your student to participate in these screenings. Please fill out the information using this FORM.

Return it to school OR email it to Jennifer_McGinn@dpsk12.net

The screening will take place on February 2, 3 and 4 at Lena Archuleta Elementary. This is for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade.  NO 4th grade will be screened. Remind your student to wear glasses to school, if they have them.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Thanks,

Nurse Jenny Bailey McGinn (she/her/hers)
